Asheville, NC. October 17Th 2007 – Appalachian Energy has opened the Renewable Energy Service Company division to the restaurant and fast food industries for hot water service. The restaurant and hotel industry are the largest energy consumers in the US as an industry. Hot water generation is the 2nd largest operating expense for hotels and restaurants. As a leader in the renewable energy, Appalachian Energy has joined the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association to bring their solar hot water service to the fast food industry. Appalachian Energy’s RESCOTM division owns and operates all equipment and systems and signs long term hot water agreements with the end consumers. The consumer has no upfront cost to install and utilize solar energy technology and to apply energy efficiency technologies.
